How much is the MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) Cash-Out withdrawal fee in Ghana?
At any authorized MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, or AT Money agent in Ghana, the Cash-Out (withdrawal) fee follows three official tiers: withdrawals up to GHC 50 cost a flat GHC 0.50; withdrawals from GHC 51 to GHC 1,999 cost 1% of the withdrawal amount; and withdrawals of GHC 2,000 and above are capped at a flat fee of GHC 20.00.
How much is the MTN MoMo transfer fee when sending money to another number?
Sending money from MTN MoMo to another MTN MoMo wallet is completely FREE for amounts up to GHC 100. For amounts above GHC 100 up to GHC 1,000, the transfer charge is 0.75% of the amount sent. For amounts above GHC 1,000, the transfer fee is capped at a flat GHC 7.50.
Are Telecel Cash to Telecel Cash transfers free in Ghana?
Yes. Peer-to-peer transfers from one Telecel Cash wallet to another Telecel Cash wallet are 0% (FREE). Cross-network transfers from Telecel Cash to MTN MoMo or AT Money are also free up to GHC 100, and charged at 0.75% above GHC 100 (capped at GHC 7.50 above GHC 1,000).
Is the Government E-Levy still charged on Mobile Money transactions in Ghana?
No. The Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) was officially repealed and abolished in Ghana in April 2025 under the Electronic Transfer Levy (Repeal) Act, 2025 (Act 1128). You pay GHC 0.00 in E-Levy on all Mobile Money transfers and bank transfers in 2026.
How much must I send so the receiver can withdraw the full amount after Cash-Out charges?
To let the recipient withdraw the full target amount in cash at an agent, add the agent Cash-Out fee to the amount you send: add GHC 0.50 for amounts up to GHC 50, add 1% for amounts between GHC 51 and GHC 1,999 (for example, send GHC 505 so they can withdraw GHC 500, or send GHC 1,010 so they can withdraw GHC 1,000), and add a flat GHC 20.00 for amounts of GHC 2,000 or more.
How much is the fee for transferring money from MoMo to a Bank Account?
Wallet-to-bank transfers from MTN MoMo are charged at 0.75% of the transaction amount and capped at a maximum fee of GHC 5.00 per transaction.
